Puffed Pancakes

ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • A couple drops of almond extract (optional)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • lemon wedge
  • powdered sugar
  • berries (optional)

directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Whisk the egg and milk in a bowl until combined.
  3. Add the flour and whisk until smooth.
  4. Add the almond extract, if using. Whisk until combined.
  5. Once the oven is preheated, add the butter to the pan and place it in the oven until melted.
  6. Remove the pan from the oven. Add the batter to the pan of melted butter.
  7. Bake for 10 minutes, until puffed at edges.
  8. Top with powdered sugar and lemon juice, or berries – whatever you prefer!
  9. Enjoy!
